During my Christmas stay, I was pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome and friendly service. The beautifully decorated rooms and comfy beds added to the cozy atmosphere. I especially liked the little touches like the complimentary bottle of water and the bowl of chocolates. The location of the hotel was also a key advantage, being conveniently situated near the town centre and train station. it was a delightful experience.
One small gripe was the difficulty in maneuvering the tight curved drive for larger vehicles. the furnishings in the room appeared a bit outdated.

The owners were welcoming and friendly, and the beds were comfortable. The location was convenient, with easy access to public transportation and plenty of parking.
The furnishings in the rooms appeared outdated and could use updating. The drive leading to the hotel was tight and difficult for larger taxis to maneuver.

I liked how central the hotel was to ayr town centre. We were down visiting for the weekend to attend the races and it was very handy and within walking distance to the race course. It was a bit tricky to get into the guest house however as it was just off a busy road and not a lot of room to park within the grounds of the guest house. The breakfast was lovely and you could basically get what you want cooked.
As I said above it was a bit tricky to park because it was a small space and just off a busy road. However the guest house was lovely and the owner was very friendly.

We recently stayed at the Coila Guest House for a short getaway and had a fantastic experience. The hosts, warm Scottish locals with extensive knowledge of the area, made us feel right at home. The location was perfect for exploring on foot, and the cozy, home-like atmosphere of the guest house was delightful. The rooms were spacious and impeccably clean, with comfortable beds and all the necessary amenities. The highlight of our stay was the delicious breakfast, expertly prepared by Charlie. We can't wait to return!
Strongly recommend this hotel.

Owners very friendly, especially Charlie, who chatted a bit more. On the whole we enjoyed our visit and would stay At Coila again.
Only one hand towel. Bed was two singles pushed together, didn't make for comfortable sleeping and they were a bit on the hard side. Usually one expects a wee packet of biscuits each, only one between two here. Also only 3 strips of coffee. A little bit niggardly. Also short on toast at breakfast and weren't asked if we wished for any more.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the room felt like a home away from home with its well-equipped amenities. The public areas had a cosy and traditional feel, which added to the overall ambiance of the place. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious and plentiful, satisfying any appetite. What really stood out to me, though, was the exceptional welcome I received from the staff. Hazel and Charlie went above and beyond to make me feel at home, providing valuable travel tips and recommendations. It was truly one of the friendliest guest houses I have ever stayed in.
I would highly recommend this place to my family and friends.
